DJ Alok, a world-famous musician and master of harmony, born on August 26, 1991 in Goiania City, Brazil is a famous Brazilian DJ Ekanta and Swarup. He started playing guitar and learning electronics at the age of 10 in his father’s practice room. In 2004, at the age of 12, he started producing psytrance under the name Logica with his twin brother Bhaskar Pertilo. He opted for his solo career in 2012.

Birthplace and Family
World-renowned musician DJ Alok was born on August 26, 1991 in Goiania, Brazil. His full name is Alok Achkar Peres Pertillo. He is the son of two famous Brazilian psychedelic DJs, DJ Ekanta and DJ Swarup. The couple is famous for establishing Universalo Paralello, an electronic music festival in Bahia. He graduated from elementary school in his hometown of Goiania with his brother’s twin brother Basker Pertillo. Alok and Bhaskar started their musical career together in 2004.
The beginning of the journey
Feeling the melody in his blood, Alok has been attracted to music since childhood. At the age of 10, he began studying music and remixes at his father’s rehearsal studio.
In 2004, at the age of 13, Alock and his brother started a joint psychedelic trance production project called Logica. They were famous locally for their music ; but he became famous in late 2010. He started his solo career at Venture House in 2012 and released his first solo “Superstition”.
Then he released several albums, including several solos and collaborations on different labels. But everything was average. At the end of 2016, his solo song “Hear Me Now” on the Spinnin’Records label, co-produced by Bruno Martini and featuring singer Jiba, was a huge success. After that, his life was successful and he was able to establish himself as one of the best DJs in the country.

Alok is one of the most famous icons in the Brazilian electronic music scene. He was continuously listed as the best DJ in Brazil by House Magazine in 2014 and 2015. He is the only Brazilian in the top 25 of the 2016 World DJ Rankings sponsored by DJ Magazine. In 2017 and 2018, he was ranked 19th and 13th on the same DJ Magazine list, respectively. He is ranked 5th in DJ Magazine Top 100 Poll 2020. He is also on the Forbes 202030 Under 30 list. His most famous song, Hear Me Now, was released in 2016 and ranked 20th on the US Billboard Electronic and Dance Song Charts.
He won the 2019 International Dance Music Award for Best Remix for his song “Piece of Your Heart”. In 2019 he won the Best DJ Award at the music festival “Premio Jovem Brasileiro”.
