On November 14, 1982, Torrence Ivy Hatch Jr. gave birth to Boosie Badazz in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, in the United States. Connie Hatch, his mother, began her career as a school nurse before transitioning into teaching at the neighbourhood middle school where she worked.
Boosie got into basketball because he was talented enough to get a collegiate basketball scholarship. After a while, Boosie went to drugs and crime. He was expelled from school and had few other options, so he turned to music to try to carve out a route for himself in life.

After meeting C-Loc through his cousin Young Bleed in the late 1990s, Boosie collaborated with the Baton Rouge rapper. Later, in 2000, Boosie made his recording debut on C-fifth Loc’s album, “It’s A Gamble.”
Boosie then launched his debut album, “Youngest Of Da Camp,” which went on to sell over 10,000 copies. He teamed up with Trill Entertainment in 2001, going by the stage name Lil Boosie, and releasing his second studio album, “For My Thugz.”
